We really enjoyed our stay here. A perfect location and lovely staff working day and night. The continental breakfast was called basic by a fellow guest, however it met our needs and was tasty.

We only stayed 2 days and night and that was about right to see everything we wanted to see. Stratford is not a big place. We took an audio walking tour and a "Sinister Side of Stratford" walking tour; both were informative and entertaining. All of the key sites centre around the Bard. We managed to see and hear all we wanted without paying entry to anywhere, but most key sites require payment for entry to specific parts.Prices for food and drink are definitely at the higher end, but there is a wide range of options. We went Sunday to Tuesday and it was busy, but I suspect it could get a lot busier, so you have to be patient to get your photos and see everything. You can walk around the whole town easily in 1 day, so no need to move the car or use a bus for us. Car park was £28 for 2 days. We enjoyed the place but after 2 days we has seen it all.

The Stratford Upon Avon bus tour was good with audio commentary throughout. Some very nice restaurants & pubs to try out & some lovely walks around the town & along the River Avon too.
Parking may be more difficult when staying in the centre of Stratford Upon Avon, unless hotels / Guest houses have allocated parking, but as we caught the train, this was not an issue. The train station is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from the centre of Stratford Upon Avon, & the walking route is mainly flat.

Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado.
Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado. I was drawn more to the architecture and history as well as the walks along the canal. Also, theater is great, of course. We were unable to see a Shakespeare play, but instead saw "English" at the Royal Shakespeare Company's newest venue "The Other Place", a facility established by the RSC after a top staffer shook things up a bit in 2016 and suggested being more relevant

Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town. There are lots of green spaces offering respite from the lovely shopping areas. Eating out is a treat. We're vegan and had lots of choice. The Plantarium cafe is a must visit. Lots of reference to the history of Stratford and its connection to Shakespeare add to the charm. We only went for a short break but it's somewhere we'd definitely go back to.

Lovely place to spend a weekend, the river and canal basin area are very pretty, loads of really good restaurants, places to stay and things to do. The Shakespeare birthday celebrations/parade is great (mid April). We did the marathon there and that's a great event if you are keen on running.

The character because of the properties age and the ample parking, the village is beautiful and the drive into Stratford upon Avon was really pleasant. The room was large and clean with a good sized bathroom and loads of hot water. The staff at the hotel are amazing, very friendly and welcoming making you feel like valued guests from the greeting on arrival to checking out. Breakfast was perfect with various options from a full English, toast, cereal to yogurt and pastries with loads of coffee, tea and juice.
This hotel is situated in a perfect position for all Stratford upon Avon has to offer. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing, very snug. The bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. We were not rushed like some hotels we could take as long as we liked. The restaurant looked inviting but we chose not to eat there. The prices were reasonable for the cuisine offered.
The bar, restaurant and room staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfast was good and the service exceeded expectation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The evening meals were good value and the portion sizes were so large I struggled to finish, but too good to waste so I soldiered on valiantly.
I would recommend the hotel and restaurant to friends. The location close to The Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon made the price not just reasonable but a bargain.
We stayed in Room 7 - Jessica's Room. It was glorious with a huge four poster bed and incredible bath
A view overlooking the gardens was beautiful.
It wasn't very busy whilst we were there, the few days before Christmas, and weekdays, so the hotel was lovely and quiet.
We had dinner on one night which was lovely and the service was great. The hotel is spotlessly clean.
The location was perfect for Stratford Upon Avon too.
Charming 500 or so year old hotel in center of Stratford. Rooms are not the usual tiny sizes rooms of old European hotels, but are large and comfortable… same for bathroom and shower. Bfast excellent. Also has a very good restaurant on site, not cheap, but not expensive either. Location right in town center, can walk everywhere in minutes, except for Anne Hathaways cottage about a mile away. Staff focused on making guests happy!
Spacious, attractive hotel. Superbly placed for visiting Stratford upon Avon. Well maintained garden and terrace to sit and enjoy a drink or lunch. We were just there for one night on our way to the Cotswolds but had a very pleasant stay. We traveled with our dog who was welcomed by all. Our room was a good size and the large bed was very comfortable.
This lovely apartment is in the perfect location for a visit to Stratford Upon Avon. It is literally on the door step with parking right next to it. It is spacious for two people and much nicer than a hotel. The bed is comfortable and the shower is excellent.
There was great communication from the host and nothing was too much trouble.
The Townhouse is one of my favorite hotels I have ever been to! It is charming and inviting, plus the staff go above and beyond. The restaurant is incredibly good and the bar offers a fun atmosphere. Additionally, the location is quite central and it’s an easy to many of Stratford-upon-Avon’s most popular tourist sights.
Stratford Limes was a nice place to stay overnight. We had a corner room that was quiet. It was nice to have a bathtub and a small sofa to relax after a day full of sightseeing in Oxford and driving. The breakfast was great, and the service was awesome. There was free parking in the back of the hotel which was perfect.
Lovely independent Hotel in great location for a mooch around Stratford-upon-Avon. Pierre Bistro located in the hotel serves fabulous food at very reasonable prices. Rooms are well equipped clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and very helpful nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The Hotel is well located for the region, especially Stratford upon Avon, a short drive away. Plenty of parking space.
The Hotel is very comfortable and the Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Dining is also very good and enjoyable with a good menu choice.
Mark was very welcoming and accommodating, allowing me to leave my bag in the hotel until my train later that afternoon. The room was comfy and clean and the location right by the station was ideal.
The hotel has been wonderfully refurbished to a high standard both in the rooms and the gardens. The location near Stratford upon Avon was very convenient to visit all of the Shakespeare sights.
Location is stunning, the hotel is very unique and charming. The hotel staff were delightful. I couldn't have asked for better. I will visit again next time I'm in England.
